Café Imperial

You are searching for a royal experience over the weekend? Look no further – some coffee and some cake at Imperial will definitely make you feel like a Habsburger. I was here last week for the first time and I was completely taken aback by the grandeur hallway, the heavy chandeliers, and the cozy atmosphere. I think it is safe to say that I am in love with expensive hotels, but sleeping in these is not exactly on my student budget. Therefore, I always look for alternatives – in this case it is true that I had to pass on the Elisabeth Suite, but I was still able to explore downstairs.

My Favorite Places to Take a Walk in Vienna

If you expected something groundbreaking, I might disappoint you just now. I am a very conservative person and I stick with the things I like (if you have read my last post you know), but if you recognize yourself in this description as well, feel free to read on.

As I have mentioned before on the blog, walks are my remedy for sadness, boredom, bad mood, plus they are a great way to move a little bit, especially if you are not in the mood for doing sports (I certainly do not imagine myself going to the fitness after finishing writing yet another paper). So it doesn’t matter if you live in Vienna, you are visiting as a tourist or randomly passing by our beautiful city, I want to tell you about my favorite places for a stroll here.

Maybelline Fit Me (Matte+Poreless)

A new discovery on my shelf has been being tested for the past month before I write this post – the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. I always struggle to find makeup, which gets along with my skin, does not break me out and stays even the whole day. I popped into DM a few months ago and I saw that this foundation was on sale so I decided that even if I don’t like it, it would not be a big loss. However, to my surprise, I fell in love with it and now I will tell you why.

Vienna Design Week And a Walk Around Kärntnerstrasse

In the few days before the lectures at my department start, I decided to indulge in a more of a cultural program. The beginning of October here is always marked with the Lange Nacht der Museen, however, this year the Vienna Design Week is also taking place and it is all over the city. More than seventy venues are taking place in this amazing project so make sure to take a look at some of those during the weekend.

Ulrich

Vienna is not only famous for its coffee culture but also its “brunch” culture. The charm of ordering your breakfast at 3 in the afternoon and not feeling in any way guilty about it is one of the small perks you get when you live here. Shortly after I have returned to Vienna, I turned back to an old-time favorite and mainly “Ulrich” so today I decided to tell you a little bit more about this awesome hidden gem, hugged tight between the small streets of the 7th district.
